I go here often as it is right next to my bus stop. They have a nice selection of wines, and the owner is very lovely. She has had some excellent recommendations for wine and I wouldn’t go unless you need it, it is the sort of place you want someone to tell you what to get. They also have a selection of local beers, as well as some European ones. The beer is a bit pricy, but generally there are very good options, so worth the extra money. I definitely would head here if you are looking for a specialty wine, and something a bit more unique. Not a fancy shop, but you won’t be disappointed with anything recommended.

I went there to get some wine tasting arranged and the owner Valerie is very helpful. She is very detailed and gives good advice on the wine tasting subject. You can get speciality wines there from France, Italy, Australia and other known places. The shop also offers choices of Scottish and foreign craft beers like the Canadian Blue Moon or the Orkney brewed Red McGregor, dark and black Isles, Erdinger, Azuri, just to name a few. The shop also sells whiskys and sparkling wine. On occasion they have their own wine tasting gatherings in the shop and there is something for everybody to try. Enjoy, especially if you leave nearby Home Street!

Provenance Wines is a little gem in Tollcross. It’s not ‘just’ a wine shop. They also have a very wide range of world beers as well as interesting liquors and good quality spirits. The two ladies who manage the shop are extremely knowledgeable and will certainly recommend the perfect bottle of wine to go with that lamb shoulder or that chicken tajine you’re making for dinner! They have a good range of wines, not just French, and if you are a regular customer, you get some good banter! Highly recommended.

This was my first time here. The shop is quite bare, I guess it it quite new and getting established. The lady at the counter(I think was the owner) was very helpful and I was pleased that they had violet liqueur, very tasty but hard to find. I got the last bottle and it is going to be added to prosecco at Christmas. A couple of folk came into the hop whilst I was browsing and all seemed to be regulars so there must be a keen following to this wine shop. I liked it and I will pop in if passing, the shop was cold with a portable gas heater in the middle, so not the most luxurious place but charming owner and I was pleased o ind my liqueur.

Brilliant selection of wines, many produced by small independent growers and not generally available here, but Chateaux &AOC certified. Including lovely wine in boxes for great discounts perfect for parties!

A brand new wine shop in the Tollcross neighborhood, with wines from France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, America and South America! It also has a comprehensive selection of beers, including those from local brewers. This shop is brand new and still finding its feet but holds much promise. I spoke to the owner, a very friendly and knowledgeable woman, for at least half an hour about her selection and the neighborhood. Everything from inexpensive bottles for everyday to bottles for a nice splurge is here. The shop also holds tastings. Check it out. Support your local shop owners!
