Shelter is one of the many charity shops in the Costorphine area of Edinburgh. It was one of a number that I popped into a few days ago, which provided ample time to compare the facilities provided. In terms of what the shop stocks, it’s fairly standard charity shop fare — clothes, loads of books, CDs from a couple of decades ago. There’s always a bargain to be had — I found Gladiator on DVD for a price that was so low I can’t recall it! Shelter do a valuable work with the homeless and in housing generally, so are definitely a worthwhile cause. Some of their stock looked nearly new, and so you don’t need to be continually worried about quality. Hunt around, and you may find something you like!
