This is my local, and it seems like a nice enough place, and has Guinness on tap and sometimes some nice bottled beers. I’m not often in here as I tend to drink in the city centre, but it’s quite quiet during the day and has a fairly big beer garden. The décor is slightly old-fashioned, but it doesn’t bother me terribly.

The Clermison inn is a public house in Clermison Edinburgh. I feel that this establishment is more a local than a venue, although I do believe they offer function rooms. The prices are cheap but it all goes downhill thereafter. The decoration is tired and dated. There was bingo on which I didnt belive still happens in 21st century. It is quite something being told that you must be SILENT whist in a bar. The patrons who I must say were rather friendly were of on average great age. There was one gentleman in the corner who was either asleep or dead. Its probably a great local but a far cry from the George Street experience I enjoy.
