Looking for a cheap lunch this place is it! It’s super popular during lunch for all the businesses because it does tasty sandwiches and lunches at super cheap prices.
Like curry, soups, paninis, and so much more yummy lunch take away. The staff is always so nice and food comes fast.
It has such a neighborhood stop and honey feel that makes the experience there absolutely worth it! Also, they do catering so don’t go to M&S for catering for a small office luncheon do Thistle. It’s cheaper and way better quality.
Downside it closes rather early and if you’re not much of a regular sandwich person there is not too much variety for you.

I’m in the throes of a love affair with Thistle Street, at the moment, and my trip to the Thistle Sandwich Bar did nothing to cool my ardour. It fills the bacon roll and builder’s tea niche, and carries it off, very nicely. Very good soup, too!
Overall, we said: «I was pretty impressed with the Thistle Sandwich Bar. It offers you straightforward, tasty grub, and today that’s exactly what I was after. I think Lime, just along the road, offers a little better quality and variety, but I’d be very happy to visit this place again, and will no doubt do so, over the coming months»
