The staff are amazing and really friendly, I can’t fault them in any form. The atmosphere is really great and is a really good place to drink

An interesting bar, when its quiet, it’s dead but when there is a football game on it gets crammed. Staff ignorant, food not too bad but plenty of other better places about.

Walkabout is the only place in town to watch sports with screens everywhere and a great sound system. The range of drinks is pretty varied and dead cheap(£1.65 for a JD and Coke) and the food; good quality, massive servings, good honest aussie pub grub. Not to mention one of the liveliest places in town on a Friday and Saturday night with a nice dance floor and a couple of good DJs.

I was very disappointed that inside it wasn’t all upside down. Shame.

Although from the outside this bar doesn’t look like much, it is well worth a visit. The inside is perhaps a little grubby and could do with a spring clean or repaint but the staff are very friendly and the food is definitely worth a look. In particular the Chicken and Asparagus Pie with Mash and Carrots, which is really yummy! A lot of the food on the menu is less than £5 which is perfect for a quick lunch or snack. The Australian theme is fun and they do actually serve a couple of Australian beers(not just Fosters!) which adds to the theme.

Walkabout is one of the best pubs in Exeter. It has a nice rustic feel to it and rugby jerseys on the wall. If you have ever been there to watch sport you will know what a great atmosphere it has. The staff are amazing. There are a lot of Australians, New Zealanders and South Africans working there and they are all friendly and fantastic. They have a small dance floor for the evening and serve food during the day.

Walkabout is probably the best place in Exeter for watching sport, there are numerous screens usually showing 2 or 3 different sports channels. The range of beers is limited and the food is average. The downstairs bar is usually busy Friday/Saturday nights and midweek there are usually student drinks promotions. The décor is stereotypically tacky Australian with a crocodile by the front door(not real obviously). I went in there with an Australian mate recently, he had never been to a Walkabout before and he thought it was hilarious. He also didn’t know Fosters was an ‘Australian’ lager as he has never seen it in Sydney, same with XXXX.
