I visited the Solent Hotel a couple of weeks ago when my nephew’s Christening meal/​party was held here.
We were there for about 5 hours and in the Hambledon Suite which was perfect for what we needed. The room was spacious for the 70 guests we had in cabaret style and one top table. There was a reasonably sized dance floor in there too and the DJ excellent and very friendly.
The staff serving on the night were excellent — very friendly, efficient, attentive and polite.
Not that I saw much of the hotel but was told by a couple of friends that the pool was stunning and that there was a spa too.
Located well in between Portsmouth and Whiteley on the A27 motorway.
Definitely recommend and would return.

This hotel has a very cozy atmosphere and beautiful rooms. My room has a nice sitting room adjacent to the bedroom with comfortable chairs, nice desk and tea. Pub next door is fun and the food is good.
Very helpful and nice staff.
