One of our Farnborough favorites with wonderful seafood specials but known for homemade pizza and pasta. Waiter is really entertaining.

On arrival at the restaurant the waitress was very attentive and came to meet us and show us to our table. She quickly produced a menu and wine list before leaving us to it. We had the bruscheta and squid starter. I initially thought that £6.50 was a little bit steep for a starter, however when the plate arrived there was a dinner plate filled with squid with the appropriate Tartar sauce dip and both were delicious. It should be noted that there was more than enough squid for 2 people and we didnt really need the bruscheta(which was also delicious in its own right). For main course I had the Vesuvio pizza. The pizza apparently contained chilli which 1⁄3 of the way through the pizza wasn’t really apparrent. However as you ate more the spice slowly crept up on you before giving you a swift kick in the nether regions, very tasty indeed. My wife had the salmon tagliatelli which she said was absolutely delicious. All was washed down with a delicious bottle of house red. It was at this point that the evening didn’t go quite so well. A large party was in the other side of the restaurant which took up all the waiters & waitresses attention. As a result we were not offered a sweet and constant attempts to try and get the staffs attention failed. Instead we decided to ask for the bill. We were not even asked if we would like a coffee or aperatif at this point, leaving us feeling that all they wanted was for us to leave so they could concentrate on the large party; a dissapointing end to an otherwise very enjoyable evening. Staff need to be more attentive to the needs of their customers if they want people to come back. Food 5* however service left a lot to be desired.

North Camp has a lot of nice restaurants but this one is our favourites, fantastic venue, very Italian and cheesy waiters but also friendly and attentive, the menu was very good and the fish dish I ate on the specials board was excellent, my friends chose pizza which looked delicious. Didn’t choose desert but instead stayed on a bit drinking as the atmosphere was so lively, well recommended for any foodie or lover of all things Italian.

This restaurant was a real find after our hitherto favourite, local Italian restaurant was too full to take us. We were not disappointed! The building is a high-ceiling former post office, bank or something similar so it has some immediate impact when you enter. The service is always first class and the food delicious; a little pricey but worth it. Always made very welcome there and the restaurant has sufficient space between the tables so you are not sitting in your neighbours’ laps! Well worth a visit!
