I would highly recommend this tour. i even learnt what a bishops finger is. The tasting at the end was good and crisps were a good idea. Just wish that the pub as at the end of my road so I could go more often.

They do produce some fine beer down here. And where better to taste it than at source? I can heartily recommend the Shepherd Neame brewery tour — a fascinating look at alcohol production from Britain’s Oldest Brewer(a title imprinted on each bottle of their excellent ale). It’s topped off by a tasting section of a selection of their beers, which has led me to some new varieties — I now regularly buy their ‘Asahi’ beer, apparently Japan’s number one and brewed right here in Faversham for the UK market. A brilliant way to kill an afternoon, especially if you get the tour guide that I did, who clearly loves his job, unlike so many.
