Its an alternative for Safeway, Global and Shoppers in the United States. You can buy stuff in bulk and for cheap. Being an American, I was blown away by the amount of Cadbury goodies and Indian-​Pakistani packaged foods (London being home to soooo many South-​East Asians is way more diversified when it comes to grocery shopping than Virginia is). Needless to say, I got myself a shitload of Quality Street which made everyone in America really happy :-)
