The Village is a dedicated childrens centre that serves the Folkestone area. They offer so many different services to families and careres. I first went there for my antenatal classes when I was pregnant with my son. There team were excellent and we became members. When our son was born we were sent a time table of the events that they run each week. They offer a crawlers group on a Monday between 12.30 and 2.30. During this time you can see a health visitor and have your baby weighed. You can also take part in baby yoge, baby massage, messy play and sing and sign. On Wednesday they have movers which is for babies who are on the move. There is also a breast feeding support group on Friday mornings between 10am and 12am. They provide other classes just for adults and offer a free crèche place for your baby. You can take a Makaton sign language course or do crafts. The staff are all highly trained and are extremly supportive. They will help you with an problems you have and are a great source of information. I would suggest that anyone who has recently had a baby should take a visit to the village. I have tried a few other groups in our area and like many others I found the village to be the best. Best of all it is entirely free to attend!
