Large Parcel and Sorting depot on the outskirts of town. All local post used to be sorted in the central town main post office until it closed down a couple of years ago. The ‘front countyer’ daily business of the post office moved to the back of Martins the Newsagents, and the main sorting office moved to the purpose-built warehousing at Robins Lane. There is a collection service available from here, if you get home and fine one of those cards telling you that the postman was unable to deliver. They’re only open for a few hours each morning(check the card for exact times) but if you need your stuff in a hurry, you can pootle along there. If you need to arrange re-delivery — LOCALTIP — don’t phone the automated service or try and book online — you’ll always be given the day after tomorrow. Instead, use the local landline direct to the depot — the staff there have always been brilliantly helpful and will get it out the next day for you if humanly possible(and they’ve always come up trumps). Plenty of space to park if you drive up there, but a bit of a haul to have to walk up there.
