Good coffee and ice cream and nice food although a lot of the lunches are very expensive for what they are. A nice vibe to the place with a friendly owner who takes great pride in the amazing ice creams. Packed on Saturday mornings and after school and with a couple of pushchairs out the back it can be quite a squeeze. But generally one of the better coffees in Frome and with good cakes and snacks as well.

The food is nice and the hot chocolate is awesome, the ice cream is really tasty and there are lots of flavours to choose from. It can get really busy and quite cramped in there. Seems to be the place where mums bring their kids in push chairs. Overall I would give it an average rating.

This is the place I’d always take friends and visitors from out of town for a special treat, as it’s somewhere to be proud of having I reckon. It’s a glorious view from the top of Cheap Street when you’re sitting outside on a sunny day enjoying a cup of fresh coffee — down the ancient street with it’s small stream running down the middle, and it’s timbered-top buildings all redolant of Frome’s historic past. Although, it’s probably better when the street isn’t quite so busy as shoppings in throngs seem to have a lot less spatial awareness than usual and one nearly ended up on my lap! The ice-cream shop area is fabulous. I remember one hot day(a rarity I know!) I treated myself to a double-scoop cone, one blackcurrant and one gooseberry scoop. Wow the blackcurrant was so sweet and refreshing, whilst the gooseberry was so gloriously tart I just wanted to bury my face in it. Absolute ice-cream heaven. And with a combo of their regulars and their specials it’s a delight to see what’s new!

Very popular modern Italian café at the top of a picturesque pedestrian street. Average prices for well above average offerings. Wide range of hot and cold drinks with a very tempting menu. You can go for the healthy but delicious options(some very tasty salads) or go for broke with pastries and cake. The only downside is the relatively small size of the premises — it can get busy especially on saturdays. The attached shop sells handmade chocolates and ice cream to die for! I tried a cone of Basil ice-cream(my rabbit would be so proud of me!) — sounds weird but it was surprisingly good, very aromatic and quite sweet rather than savoury tasting!
