Been to L.D.O.R many times, I have found in the past that If you get the wrong order or a wrong Item and ring them up about it, the manager comes across like he couldn’t care less. Not as good as it used to be but sill a nice Indian meal to be had(if you get what you ordered in first place)

We visited the takeaway at around 9pm mid week and it was no surprise that we were the only patrons. There was a bowl of Bombay mix on the counter to help yourself to, but the interior is a bit shabby and the seating was straight out of a bar; I’d recognise that thin red plush anywhere! Newspapers were provided for reading whilst you waited and there was a tv on the wall showing a foreign news channel; great if English is your second language, but not much use to the rest of us… The menu was extensive and offered many dishes; some seemed a bit odd, like duck curry… not sure if this was some sort of ‘fusion food’ attempt or just something that the chef thought he should offer just in case anyone asked for it. We ordered lamb rogan Josh and chicken tikka masala with chips and rice respectively and a peshwari nan. The prices were average for the area, with mains around the £8.50 mark. The food was not the hottest by any means, surprising really considering we live 6 mins away. Despite this, the food was tasty and the meat tender. One of the nicest Indian takeaways we’ve had, but nothing that lifts it above any other decent Indian meal in order for me to rate it as great. I would definitely visit again as it’s no mean feat to find somewhere that serves decent tasty Indian food. But minus one star for the temperature of the food I’m afraid.
