I love this Starbucks, the staff are always lovely and very helpful. Food and drink always of very high standard, the food is a bit pricey but it is also very nice. I spent a lot of time in there on maternity leave and found it to be one of the few places that really make you welcome when you have a baby. I never feel rushed or pressured to buy extra things in here, lovely shop.

Very busy Starbucks at most times of the day and today proved no different. Again we had the problem of staff dealing with a long queue of customers resulting in uncleaned chairs and tables and in a shop which has a good share of children and babies, this was disappointing. The food is always good and there is a wide choice of tasty savoury and sweet items, although if you prefer your coffee hot and steaming, then you won’t get it here. I’ve yet to be served a hot cup of coffee — although I like very warm coffee, hubby grumbles that a hot cuppa would not go amiss. On the whole, thinking over the time since they’ve opened, the standards of cleanliness have slipped, but this is due to the popularity of the café; they really need an extra member of staff to keep on top of this as at times the floor and tables are messy and dirty and remind me of a ‘caff’ — and that is NOT what I expect from Starbucks!

Rewritten to be more analytical and less hyper: I first wrote this review months ago on my phone and it was a gushing cavalcade of praise. It will stay that way, but more descriptive and on a nicer keyboard. This most certainly is the best place for coffee, tea or thousands of other drinks, caffeinated or no. All of the drinks made are of a very high quality and with the standard plethora of options provided to consume it the way you wish. It is usually pretty quiet during the day and as long as you aren’t overly fussed about sinking into the huge leather sofas on a night time, a table shouldn’t be a problem at any time due to the location of another Starbucks directly below which helps free up space upstairs. The music is always pleasant but never intrusive so conversations are easy to maintain without having to speak up(which is good for me as a quiet fellow who often finds his sentences sucked into the void and replaced by music in bars, clubs and on rare occasions, coffee shops). Tables here are always kept clean by efficient staff but it is a good gesture to return your mugs to the bar if it is quiet so as to save the staff energy and freeing up tables for other people after you leave. The staff here are, as mentioned in the tag, superb, though perfect wouldn’t be too far a stretch. They are all individually, and as a group, genuinely excellent people and it is a pleasure to know them even in a limited capacity. Always amiable, cheerful, friendly and however many more synonyms for amiable I can add on before somebody notices that they mean effectively the same thing. Basically I could shower them with superlatives all day and it wouldn’t do them justice. I’ve visited dozens of Starbucks stores over the years but this is the only one I feel almost protective of. I visit it every time I go out and whenever I return, sometimes I go out just to pop in and sit for a while. I know no matter how miserable I feel, when I go in I will cheer right up and I can go to wherever I am headed to with a smile on my face. It takes somewhere special to do that and somewhere almost absurdly fantastic to have done it consistently for over three years. I cannot possibly recommend it highly enough, at its surface it is just another Starbucks but stay for a while and it becomes much more than that. It is my home away from home /The staff will find this and mock me for it I reckon ;)

It’s like any other Starbucks and I find if you’ve been to one you’ve been to them all. Great coffee, expensive but delicious — I mostly have the same because I like my coffee strong and plain but there’s a wide range of flavours and types available. Good tea selection, scrumptious hot chocolate, range of sweet and savoury snacks available too. Friendly staff offer to carry your tray if your hands are full even though it always seems to be busy here.
