15 Royal Terrace Day Spa

Finally got to check this place out this morning and it gets a big thumbs up from me!
It’s a lovely, warm modern day spa and we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. I actually had an Itison deal for both myself and my mum which got us two half hour treatments (from a choice of 6) and a hot drink and cake afterwards. All for £29 each.
It was very easy to book our appointments and the receptionist emailed over confirmation making it easy to remember to add it to your diary. I had a half hour massage and then a half hour facial and both were fabulous — they made me want longer treatments which I think proves how good they were. My therapist was friendly and chatted through the treatments before hand and then checked through out the treatments the pressure was okay etc. But she wasn’t too chatty, as I always love to switch off and relax when getting pampered!
After our treatments we relaxed in the lounge with our drinks and very tasty red velvet cake. I’ll definitely be back to try out some of their full length treatments and hopefully award then their fifth star :)

Lovely relaxing spa with friendly staff. I was lucky to receive a voucher to use here as a gift. I decided to get reflexology treatment as I had always been intruiged by it.
My therapist was lovely, explained everything and I was very relaxed the whole time. There was plenty of water to drink plus a small lounge where you can help yourself to hot drinks.
I’d recommend a visit here if you want to pamper yourself, however, my wee local salon is a heck of a lot cheaper so I’ll probably just stick with them ;)

I love this place! Cannot recommend it highly enough! Was introduced by a friend who treated me to a manicure and am now a regular customer and have had all sorts of treatments, including nails, massage and spray tans. Here is a lovely lounge with tea/​coffee etc to wait in when you arrive (with a lovely fire on in the colder months). All my treatments have been fantastic and my beauty therapist is really friendly and professional. The treatment rooms are lovely and have always been spotless when I’ve been there.

Myself and 2 friends visited here yesterday and i must say it was a very pleasant experience. The girls were all really friendly and professional. There were plenty refreshment available and it was clean and tidy.
I will definitely be back.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES LET THESE PEOPLE NEAR YOU! i went last week for a bikini wax and am still paying the price for it. when i got there the place looked very nice. the waiting room was clean and there were refreshments. i found it odd that they had a man answering the phone (and any beauty questions asked) but i was happy to let that go. when i was shown to the room the girl told me she had just finished a massage and told me to get ready and hop up on the table. the towels on the table were the ones that were used for the previous massage, covered in brown oil and still uncomfortably warm. again i let it go coz i just wanted to get it done. she obviously had very little experience. she covered me in strings of wax as she went to and from the wax container, to the point where i asked if i could use the shower there. it was all over, my arms, torso and clothes. on several ocassions as she was pulling the strips, she would lose her grip and have to restick it and try again. it has been 3 days and not only am i still not fully waxed (because i told her to stop) but where i was waxed i am red raw and bruised. at the time my skin bled. never have i had such poor treatment, so ladies, be kind to yourself and don’t set foot in the place. i intend on speaking to the owner as soon as i am able to put on a pair of jeans and get back down there. an utter disgrace.
