This shop is exactly what it says. Number 1. I’ve been shopping in this shop since I was a kid. It is the real deal. It was open when all these other competitors were still at kinder garden. Like camping? This is the store to buy your toys to do so. Us men never grow up:)

This is a sort of army surplice store selling an assortment of used and new army outdoor wear.
They have a selection of new and used boots, back pack’s to camping gear and even jackets.
I really like this sort of store buying emergency supply’s of camping gas or lanterns for power cuts.

Fan of Bear Grylls? or is it Ray Mears? I often wish I had quite as an exciting life as one of these dudes, so my survival needs are met instead by randomly placed expeditions up to the highlands on basis’. This is the place you get these basics, I got a book as a gift from here on how to catch fish without any equipment, which has so far served little purpose but if I did need to survive on a desert island, I would maybe reach into the depths of my brain and be able to call upon the use of a stick, piece of string and a worm.
No truly this is a cool shop if you are a sniper, or have enough time to go play in the wilderness and pretend you are one.

Funny little shop which offers a range of «military and survival gear» in somewhat understated surroundings.
While I’m not so much interested in the army side of things (and believe me, they have virtually everything you could think of), as someone who is partial to the odd bit of hillwalking I found the range of outdoor accessories to be thorough and very reasonably priced. As well as walking boots and backpacks, they also stock handy little odds and ends such as first aid kits, cutlery etc…
What’s more, the staff are very friendly and more than happy to help you find exactly what you are looking for, even if you are an absolute beginner.

a veritable wet dream of a store for all those who dig the outdoorsy ‘catch the fish, gut the fish, cook the fish, eat the fish, pee in a bush’ type stuff.
Full of practical bits, bobs and others this is a great wee store where you will find all and more of what you are looking for…
A little odd that it is where it is? yeah maybe, a little odd inside? yeah maybe. Get the feeling that if you look under that pair of big fishin wellies you’ll be likely to find Ray Mears building a canoe using the dried skins of squirrels he has caught from Kelvingrove park and dried over a fire made from discarded coffee stirrers from the nearby café Nero??? maybe not, but its fun to think so.

Adventure 1 is an outdoor and camping store, with camo gear, camping and survival necessities and fishing gear. Strangely enough, I got a labcoat in here. Yep. A labcoat is the polar opposite of survival gear haha. There are a lot of students in this area though, and I think they get them in at the start of term to intice us in. Well, it works then.
