Allans

Another wee outing to a furniture/​carpet store, this time, in a different part of town, in a much older building.
It was pretty handy that one of the three building started with carpet, because we were looking for some carpet for the bedroom. My boyfriends colleague had been referred to Allans when she had a leak in her home and her carpets were ruined and needed to be replaced. We decided to give it a go, and we’re sure glad we did, as we ended up purchasing carpet for the bedroom. Exciting times.
The staff weren’t pushy in the least and were quite helpful when it came to giving us a price for the carpet, plus underlay and installation. We had a number we weren’t willing to pay more than, and we ended up paying £200 less than what we budgeted for. With a small deposit, and date set, we will soon have plush carpet in our bedroom. Get in! What’s more is that they didn’t have enough carpet available for the size of our room, so we’ll wait an extra week for a brand new roll to be ordered just for us! What great service!
After we purchased the carpet, we wandered through the rest of the shops to look at the furniture. There’s a lot of well made pieces, but loads of stuff that very much was not our style. We see some ideas for a wee sitting chair for a wee nook we have. Maybe we’ll be back for that.
All in all, a fair day at Allans and we’re very much looking forward to our new carpet!
