This is a great ASDA, although the Café Ritazza upstairs is dreadful. If I’m ever in tesco, i’ll go to the tesco café for some wholesome food, but Ritazza in ASDA only serves overpriced, poor quality scones/paninis and bad coffee.

This is a fairly ok branch of Asda. The prices are good, the service is ok and the shop is massive. I don’t know why though, but I always seem to lose the will to live as soon as I walk through the door. It just seems to take forever to get round. On the plus side, they sell just about every food stuff you could possibly want, and their smart price range is extremely good value. They always seem to be doing things for charity, which is a good sign of their corporate kindness I suppose. Apart from that, they have cash machines, a photo lab, passport photo booth and extensive cheese and alcohol sections. I think Asda is pretty good, but it is a supermarket, afterall, and therefore by rights is quite a boring place to be.

Asda in Bearsden offers a good range of the usual supermarket fare as well as health and beauty, home furniture and CDs, DVDs etc. There is a very good George clothing range which is excellent value, especially for children. There is also a pleasant café area. The supermarket itself is very bright and clean and the staff very frinedly and helpful and the tills are usually well staffed without too many queues. I have scored this supermarket with only two stars as at peak times the car park is a nightmare. The whole store was flattened and redsigned a few years ago and this must be the worst designed car park ever. The car park aisles and exit lane is constantly queued. Once you turn in to Asda there is only one way out. At Christmas last year, it took me an hour and a half to get out of the car park when I hadn’t even bought anything in the store!

Adsa in Bearsden was completely demolished a number of years ago and rebuilt, and what a difference! The large car park is at the front so the supermarket is quite far back of the road. Good selection of beauty, home products, entertainment products and upstairs you have the clothing section for men, women and kids, which is very good value if not everyones taste. Plenty of tills and although I dont go at peak times the queuing has not been too bad. Asda has its own basic ranges and also its own range of better quality meals which are comparable to sainsburys and possible better than morrisons premium range. Easy to find your way around, worth a try.
