We were looking for a wee Valentine’s meal that’s price wasn’t through the roof so we decided to go for a 5pm deal for here & we definitely made a good decision! We walked into a busy restaurant with a great atmosphere and gorgeous interiors. After having a browse of the menu which was filled with French treats I ordered the baked wild mushroom fricassee to start and my OH ordered the mussels. Both were lovely but to be honest I definitely had a bit of food envy when I sneaked a few mussels — they were so so tasty, I would definetly get them next time instead! For main we both went for the braised beef casserole in the hope it would taste like a Flemish stew we had in Belgium once, and Atlantic Brasserie’s stew didn’t disappoint! It was rich and was a lovely comfort dish when it was a bit chilly outside. I would definitely go here again & would highly recommend it, the reason for the lack of 5⁄5 is only down to the dessert menu, I love a good dessert but the options were just a wee bit too fussy for me.(I’m more of a sticky toffee pudding kind of girl!)
