The reviews are less than flattering on here but my wife and I were surprised by their large and crispy portions. The fast food atmosphere sucked, though.

I’d have to agree with the others; the one time I’ve sampled a tray of chips from this establishment I felt like I had coated my mouth with greasy cardboard and defiled my throat by swallowing it. Keep away!

As a last resort for a chippy I’d go here — as in, every other fast food takeaway/​chippy isn’t open, or there’s not one for miles.
Unfortunately, the Blue Lagoon has a bad reputation (personally, I’ve never been ill after eating their food, however, that’s possibly because I don’t tend to eat their food) — a horrible nickname has cropped up in regards to finding hairs in fish suppers etc, but I’ll spare you that.
So, Blue Lagoon — expensive and tasteless… not what you want in a chip.
