With an hour to kill before we hopped a train out of dodge, we wanted something quick to eat. Not having had Burger King in a while, we agreed to give it a go. To be honest, for what it is, its really not that bad. For under £12, we got two whoppers, two fries and two drinks. Everything was piping hot and the fries were fresh. The only thing about this place is that the clean up of the lounge is quite poor, so if you’re sitting in as we did, we had to move around old trash that was still on the tables to get a seat. There are no trash bins, only trollies that people don’t seem to want to pile their garbage on. I wouldn’t come here if I was in a rush, the service is pretty slow. Otherwise, the food is a-ok.

Another Burger King. I’m actually reviewing another Burger King. *Sigh* Alright. So now that I got my self pity out of the way, let me share with you what I think of this location, snuggled inside of the Glasgow Queen Street railway station. I think, for the takeaway joint that it is, it isn’t all that bad. The service I got was reasonably speedy, the staff was reasonably friendly, but most importantly, the seating arrangement had outward-facng windows to the street. That makes sitting there while devouring a Whopper and waiting for a train much more tolerable. And the lobby was reasonably clean to boot! A good enough Burger King is good enough for me. 4-stars for the reasonable takeaway joint!

So you know sometimes you just gotta catch a train somewhere, and I like kickin’ back on my ride, watchin’ the world go by with a burger to do some munchin’ on, so this joint’s pretty damn handy if you ask me? I ordered an Angus Burger with classic slaw, fries and a cute lil’ bottle of OJ. The guy serving me was totally chillaxed and asked me if I wanted any fries, and I was like«Oh hell yeah». Some guys call fries«chips» but they need to wake up and smell the Joe, am I right guys?! I thought I’d make my meal extra cool by adding some sides, so I took a spin on some of their onion rings and wedges. What can I say about the place? It’s got a kinda cool vibe compared to the madness of the train station outside, and whilst there weren’t many individuals like me in there with my big, square beard and my tattoos, there was a one legged pigeon eating some vomit off the floor, and I was like«Oh dude, that is sick», but like not in a good way? Either way, I would totally recommend this neat little burger joint for anyone in a hurry, sure you could go to MacDees, but they’re like, so corporate? I’m stickin’ it to the man and going BK from here, guys; a classic burger joint with some truly classic slaw. Peace out.

this review will be short and to the point as was my visit to this burger king. nikki a, alex j, and i arrived in queen street station dying of thirst! and there was burger king where we could buy water yay! the queue was short so we had our order taken fairly quickly, two bottles of water. but then the girl proceeded to wait for the food order of the two people before us before opening the fridge to hand us to bottles of water. seriously, a 5 minute wait for two bottles of water that no one even had to make. unbelievable…

This is actually a decent Burger King, so long as you’re willing(and able) to wait 20 minutes for your food. My last B.K. experience was an abysmal early morning mistake on Khao San Road in Bangkok, Thailand. I can safely say this was better in every way. Not that it was an especially high bar to surpass.

Eek! You get what you expect at this particular Burger King branch, and not in a good way. This small BK establishment is located inside Queen Street station, at the George Square entrance. As such, it sports the above-average pricing for captive diners. They know they can get away with it, and sadly, we let them. Some other reviewers here have complained about the service being slow. At times I’ve found it to be slow, and at others they’ve bagged up my meal within 30 seconds and sent me on my way(usually when I’m trying to waste half an hour before my next low-level train in sub-zero temperatures — cheers!) All this being said, it’s handy if you’re starving, especially if you’re on your way for a night out and need to line your stomach before the drinking commences.

Burger King in Queen Street may be grubby, and it may have slow staff, but there is nothing better than grabbing a cheeseburger, the morning after a night out, right before your train. Ok, it’s pricier than most other BK outlets, but it beats paying 89p for a Wispa out of WH Smiths across the way. Don’t go in if you’re in a hurry though as you’ll be greeted with vacant stares and cold chips.

I’m going to be completely honest. When I arrive at Queen Street Station with 13 minutes until my train is due to depart… and there is only one person in front of me, then that should be enough time for me to get my food and make my train, right? Apparently not. I was standing waiting for my food and when I had 2 minutes left I yelled out to the worker, who proceeded to disappear for 2 seconds and emerge with my meal in hand. Couldn’t he have done that 5−6−7−8 minutes ago? To top it all off, my breakfast sandwich was cold. I didn’t have time to snap a picture of the storefront because I was too busy running to catch my train.
