I like video games. I’m a console gamer rather than a PC gamer(usually although I’ll make exceptions for certain genres). The only thing I’m not crazy about in terms of video games is how expensive they can sometimes be. It’s not that they’re not worth it, it’s just that it can be quite a high initial cost for something that, even with reviews, you can’t always be certain you’ll enjoy. So for me, stores like CeX, specialising in second hand games, technology and entertainment generally, are very helpful. I’ve no great compulsion to play a game immediately, the moment its released, so I’m quite happy to pick them up second hand and at a reduced cost. They’re usually really busy, but the layout of this store is pretty clean and they keep enough staff on the tills(that said, I would have hated to be in the«sell to us» rather than the«buy from us» queue today). Service isn’t super rapid, but that’s often because they have to go rummage through stuff in the back to go find your order. Maybe there’s some way to streamline that organisation? [Edit: Thanks to comments from CeX staff]: It’s also possible to order items online to for delivery to your home, or, if a store elsewhere in the UK has a product you want but your local store doesn’t, you can ask them to send it to your local store. I think that’s a really useful service and recommend it but it’s also worth calling ahead before you go to pick up the item you ordered. To sell items you’ll need some ID to sign up for membership, but it’s a fairly painless process and if you get the membership card you don’t need to bring ID in future.

Good for buying second hand dvd’s and cd’s but be prepared to have a long wait to be served hence the low score.
