The Crow Tavern was really really busy on a saturday early evening… as any ‘good local’ should be. We were in the downstairs area for a few catch up social drinks before we went out to eat, we found a spot which had a small wall table and two bar stools, and hooks for our coats. The layout of room means that most of the room is taken up by the bar, there are only a few tables for four at one end of the bar, otherwise it is standing room(or bar stool room) only. Drinks wise we had a bottle of Williams Joker, 2 draft Strongbow ciders and a Tennents, all good bar choices. They have a cocktail offer(2 for £10), and advertise special offers for food. Sport was showing on the TV’s, there was horse racing and rugby. There is an upstairs bar/dining area and a beer garden(which we didn’t visit this time). I liked the unusual spiral stone stair on this pub, it looks like an old tavern which has been around for many years(a painting on the wall downstairs shows a snapshot of what it may have looked like, not much has changed apart from the adverts on the pub!).
