Good old school pub. I pop in after most matches at Parkhead. Great prices (2 Guiness 4 Whiskeys for under £10).

Give this place a wide berth and walk down the road a bit — plenty of decent pubs on offer on the Gallowgate. (e.g. Bairds is only 2 minutes walk from here ! not to mention Bar 67) Occupants are not too comfortable with strangers entering their territory and they are not afraid to show their displeasure. Surly bar staff and an odd atmosphere prevailed during my one and only ever visit to the valley of the living dead. I couldn’t wait to finish my drink and get my sorry ass out of there before any of the clientele approached me. I am nearly seven feet tall and built like the Hulk’s big brother yet I felt uncomfortable in that excrement aperture of a place. In time the occupants may evolve into sub-​humans but until then I would say it’s best avoided.

No TV or loud music just the souund of friendly banter. This is not a football themed pub as so many of the pubs in this area are and always feels like a cozy, safe haven full of character
