HMV

Since the threat of closure was liften the town’s main music store has revived itself as a proper music and film store.
Gone are the forays into clothing and bags (you can still get hipster tees) and electronics, back comes the focus on good music and a wide film selection.
One thing HMV has never lacked is staff who actually love music and you are always approachable (it helps when your mate works there too).
The only thing this branch lacks is a vinyl selection but I think that may have something to do with Fopp (also owned by HMV) and its focus on selling the black stuff.
Anyway, this store is worth a visit if you’re in EK but doesn’t quite match up to Glasgow’s choice of music selection.

good well presented shop, quite large but does get busy on weekends, which makes it difficult to find anything, but that is only because of the crowds, lots of things in categorys and alphabetical order, they have a charts section, comendy, drama, tv, and film section, they also carry a games console section and have a good variety of games, although you might get these cheaper elsewhere, lots of bargains on dvd’s and boxsets, store security very good, xmas is a nightmare so avoid like the plague and try to do it online, easy webiste to use and seems very secure, quick free delivery, never had any problems shopping here

Very large music and video store. Easy to find in Glasgow’s city centre. It has many floors. And definetely has a great selection of music and video. They also stock video games and consoles. And blu ray dvds for you blu ray dvd player of ps3. They always have in store offers on. Which enables you to get good deals on the latest releases in store. And if there is particular movie or cd that you are looking for. The chances are you will find it here. If you cant. Then speak to a member of staff and most of the time they will be able to order it in for you. The staff are always about and willing to help as much as they possibly can.

This is a relatively good sized hmv it is well laid out making it easy to find what you are looking for. i must say the staff member who i spoke to was very helpful i was given a name of a singer who we both had never heard off but he did his best to find it and eventually located it in the glasgow store as it is a bigger store. They also sell dvd’s some of which are a good price. The only thing with this store is that on a saturday it can get really busy so the queue can be long. At Christmas i have seen it stretch to the rear of the shop so try go early if you can.
