Kimble’s is a genuine delight. This is my absolute go-to shop for every seasonal occasion and birthday. There is a fantastically broad range of price points for their delectable goodies from wee treats at less than a pound to super duper fancy red velvet heart shaped boxes for the your lucky lover! This is a shop where you can find something a bit different and the chocolate is of a really high quality. The customer service is consistently excellent and the presentation of the stock is second to none — it really is a feast for the eyes and worth visiting just for a nosey at how pretty everything is. The wrapping and packaging of goods is really special and makes your purchase an even more special one. There is also a fab deli counter and a great selection of sit-in savouries and sweets from soups and quiches to specialty sandwiches and a well known afternoon tea. There are loads of seats and the location is fantastic — a fantastic wee shoppers pit-stop and a great destination in it’s own right. I can’t recommend Kimble’s enough — an edible treasure trove for those with a sweet tooth or for buying a tasty gift.

I have never been to Kimble’s before, but no idea why. It is a lovely café and deli with a location which sits on the corner of the new glass extension of the St Enoch centre, which makes it great for people watching. The food selection is good, although I went with the seasonal special of a ginger cupcake with chocolate Christmas star, and also a toffee nut latte(and a ginger beer, Bundaberg lovliness). The latte was yummy, so creamy and with nice crunchy toffee pieces too. I did glance over at some of the afternoon teas and they were so elegantly presented, with many different tiers of treats. they even sell sparkly wine for an extra indulgent tea. will put that on my ‘to do’ list. I enjoyed my indulgent snacks, it was a great break from the Christmas crowds on the upper level mezzanine.

It looks adorable from the outside, and the truffles counter with bedazzled trinkets eventually lure you in. After the ‘child in a candy store moment’, you realise there is more on offer than just coffee and sweets. There is a moments struggle for chocolates over breakfast but rationale gets the better end. So we order at the counter in a jiffy and choose seats. loftily abundant all around. What pushes this place over from three to four stars, is the place. Its really a lovely surprise for a lazy weekend brunch. Its not overrated in popularity, so its a medium level of ‘busy’ compared to other tea/brunch places on the wknd. The light airy feel is provided for by the spaciousness that is its location. The glass walls of the building is a nice complement to the morning eggs on toast. My eggs benedict had a stellar presentation but unfortunately it looked better than it tasted. Hollandaise lacked some taste and the eggs were over poached. The food is an average three but the experience overall was a four. Service: simple & friendly. Its a place for when you are in that lovely mood for a delightful brunch!

Very nice café! Great selections of cakes and hot drinks. Only thing that is I think some of their food is overpriced. Tasted good but £7+ for a small panini with tiny amount of salad is a bit bonkers!

Lovely location, I recommend sitting upstairs as it’s lovely and airy. Quiet and calm which is nice for the city centre. I had a ham and cheese panini. It came served with salad leaves and baby tomatoes with a balsamic dressing. It was tasty, but I’m not sure it was quite worth the six pounds. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the girl at the till even managed to work out what we each owed individually which was really handy.

Very tasty and the afternoon tea was reasonable priced and you get to choose the sandwiches that you want. Great selection of tea.

This was ok! I went with my friend for a slice of cake and a pot of tea. We had met after work and fancied a change from Starbucks/costa etc. I just felt the customer service was a bit meh! We kinda felt unwelcome, I know it was about 5.45 but they were open till 7(well they were and they weren’t turns put you can only order till 6 but you can stay till 7.) The peppermint tea was nice and the caramel apple cake was nice but it was pre-made and out of a box and it was £1.50 extra for a scoop of ice cream which brought tea and cake to a grand total of £7.50 which I think is expensive for pre made cake tbh! The ice cream was lovely though :-) There I are such a lot of lovely cafés in Glasgow that make their own cake from scratch,(unfortunately not near where we were this day) that I think a place that promotes itself as being on the high end of the scale shouldn’t be selling pre made cake tbh, they should be making their own at that price! I wouldn’t rush to come back tbh, I think there are better options at a better priced for freshly made on the premises cake and nicer customer service

After a trip round Hamleys, a bounce(I did resist) and a visit to the Disney Store, Kimble’s Chocolate Café was the perfect choice for some lunch/cake with my friend and her daughter. Located on the first floor of the St Enoch’s centre– Kimble’s is split into a chocolate shop and café with two levels. With my friends daughter in tow we wanted somewhere to sit with lots of room(I hate it when the tables are too close together!) so we opted to wait for a seat on the upper level. We didn’t have to wait long and our table was the perfect look out point in the bright and airy café. We had spied a seriously delicious looking caramel apple pie on our way in, so that was a must, but we were both tempted by lots of things on the menu which includes a delicious selection of deli sandwiches/toasties, main meals like lasagne and macaroni, ice creams, cakes, scones, brunch and afternoon tea. The kids menu also had a great selection of mini mains and we were all spoiled for choice. My friend and I were craving something sweet so we opted to share a sultana scone with jam and the caramel apple pie with a last minute addition of tablet icecream. It’s not the cheapest place and £2.50 for a coffee and over £2 for a soft drink did seem a little more expensive than normal but wasn’t ridiculous. The caramel apple pie was very sweet but delicious as was the icecream. The scone wasn’t anything to write home about but nice enough. Our young companion was happy munching on her ham sandwich followed by an icecream clown cone. Staff were attentive, very smiley and friendly and seemed genuinely happy at their work. Slight downside you have to pay for your bill on the way out at the till. Would have been quicker just to have paid at our table, but this was a minor quibble for what was a lovely café to while a way a Saturday afternoon and I’m sure we’ll return.

A nice place for a cup of tea/coffee when you need that break from shopping, there is a larger seating are up stairs with good views. There is a sofa hidden in the corner where you can have a cosy area to sit and nearby some armchairs than sitting at a regular table. Coffee here is good and a nice selection of biscuits and cakes. There where old china cups for afternoon teas but l don’t think it works here the place just looks too modern.

Kimbles is an utterly delightful place to get a spot of afternoon tea in the St Enoch Centre. Moving from its smaller store to stretch out over two floors near the front entrance, it has expanded to include a generous sized café and a bigger menu. As you enter the store, you are met with a chocolate and deli counter on the right hand side. To the left, you queue to be seated by staff and given great table service. I had a wee day out with my mum today and was very impressed. The staff were friendly and well dressed, the pepper and houmous sandwich I had was gorgeous, there was a fair bit of choice on the menu, and there was a swirly mountain of whipped cream on my chocolate. Although the upper level is in the outside space of the modern mall, Kimbles do their best to make it look gentrified and like an old tea room. There is an old fashioned dressing table in the corner and little plants scattered around the area. It’s very pretty, and downstairs has a classy interior, painted red with small contemporary chandeliers. They serve up a number of deli options, including jars full of peppers and seasonings. Their chocolate collection is a sight to behold, with everything from homemade selections for special occasions to «retro» sweets in bags. They have some continental collections, chocolate bouquets with a selection of praline chocolates in the shape of flowers, and hampers full of jam and Scottish oatcakes which would be nice as a present. It brings a nice tea culture to the corporate environment of this mall and is a classy new option for brunch.

I am a romantic man. Being Finnish, my missus has a sweet tooth to rival any Scot, whilst managing not to be obese. It’s a mystery. Anyhow, I recall her excitement at finding this place a while back but never having been in. I took it upon myself to do all the work and pick her up some chocolates for a mini-celebration. They might have been better than the ones I have just worked through from Marks and Spencers I got from Christmas, and were certainly better than Thorntons. Everything in Thorntons sort of tastes the same, in the same way everything in McDonalds also tastes the same. The staff were friendly and chatty and more or less done the work on my behalf to be fair with regards to buying the chocolates, all I done was actually pay for them. Didn’t pay as much as I was prepared to either so I treated myself to a cup of coffee, which was also above average. I am a romantic man. Who knows how to treat himself as well.

Kimbles is a family business that has been in the St Enoch Centre since 2002. They sell pre-boxed chocolates and single chocolates that can be boxed to your specifications. A couple of years ago, their shop expanded to include a little café, where you can enjoy their chocolates with a hot drink. My favourite combination has to be tablet and a tea with no sugar, so you can get the contrast in the two. I bought a box of the chocolates for Maw once and she said they were fantastic, although they’re the kind of ones you can only eat 2 or 3 of at a time. For it being such a small, quality business, prices actually aren’t that bad.
