Lifestyle Express Grocers and Off Sales

I reckon this is the largest and closest convenience store to me. I’m not entirely sure, but I think it is just a little bit bigger than Barry’s.
While it has all the usual ciggies, magazines and sweets/​juice that you would expect from any corner shop there are also some other bits and bobs grocery wise tucked away in here.
For instance, you can find a rather good range of veg in here. It may not always look fresh as a daisy or anything like that but if you’re stuck for a last minute ingredient in chili or something — an onion’s an onion.
There’s also a surprisingly decent selection of ready meals. Beware, these can easily be too tempting to resist on some occasions. I can vouch for this as when I used to walk past on my way home from a Sales Admin job in Clarkston these turned out to be my dinner a good proportion of the time. A dangerous and fatty artery chocked road to waddle down, that’s for sure.
Other good points about this shop are the alright prices and fairly friendly and pleasant staff. My real bug bare with them, is that cash machine they have attached to the outside of their shop as they won’t accept card in store but direct you to this.
For this convenience you’re also expected to pay (e.g. cash withdrawal charges) and I have on a few occasions walked further down the road to the free cash machine before then popping into Barry’s or — erm — the chippy.
