This review only extends to the breakfast buffet and menu… You get a huge selection of food and are also welcome to choose an item from the menu, I got the yummy omelette with everything on it! The buffet had hot eggs, crêpe/potato deliciousness, baked tomatoes, blood sausage, bacon, and square sausage. There is also toast that you toast yourself, pastries, deli meats, jam and jellies, cereals, cheeses, fresh fruit salad and juices! Totally worth adding to your room when you book :)

As I was going into hospital yesterday, Colin and I went here for lunch yesterday as a final eat out before I went in! The restaurant, located on the ground floor of Hotel Indigo, is a beautiful spacious location, with a large amount of tables and booths. We were only one of three parties in, so we were seated at a lovely big comfy booth and our waitress brought out the menus. We were told there was 3 menus available; bar bites, a la carte and the market menu. We had a glance through all 3 but the market menu, at only £19.95 for 3 courses per person, and a lovely selection of options, that was the one to go for! Our orders were taken shortly after deciding and about 15 minutes later, the starters appeared; tomato and star anise soup for Colin and chicken liver parfait with shallot chutney for myself. Absolutely delicious; I cannot fault this starter. Soft and full of flavour parfait with the sharp, sweet chutney to go. Yum. After topping up our drinks(with prosecco…), the mains came out. Glazed pork belly with a cider and bacon jus and mustard mash for me, and Colin had salmon with potato croquettes and a saffron jus. Colin absolutely loved his, but I didn’t LOVE the pork belly. It was very nice, don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t spectacular. The glaze gave it a smokey, verging on burnt flavour, the mustard mash was totally under seasoned and there was no crispy crackling on top; the skin was totally soft. Sad times. The rest of the meat was tender and tasty, and I did clear the plate. The desserts were a cheese board for me(what else do I have apart from cheeseboards and sorbet…), and sticky toffee pudding for Colin(which was heavenly). All in all a good meal, and I would come back here to try their full menu, but not 5 stars unfortunately!
