How lovely is this place?! A cute wee café on Pollokshaws Road which feels like part tranquil oasis, part forest — and I love that! I popped in for a meeting and loved this place straight away. There’s an awesome gift shop area which I didn’t check out properly but they had really nice stuff as opposed to the boring tat which you could get anywhere. There was really sweet baby rompers which caught my eye for my brand new nephew so I might have to pop back soon! They also sell flowers(which is why it is a bit chilly when you pop downstairs to the toilet) and I believe they do wedding flowers as well. I ordered a pot of peppermint tea and it was quickly delivered with an egg timer. I’ve not seen one of these for years and it was an instant way to make me totally distracted — they’re so mesmerising! The tea was perfect and I got quite a few cups out of the pot, all tasting delicious. I have cake blindness so I didn’t actually check out any of the cakes, but my tea-companion picked up a few. The guy working was super friendly and welcoming with a big smile. I’m definitely heading back ASAP to try out the food!

They’ve bought in a new range of tea — I recommend the Cherry and Chilli Roiboos. O. M. G!

Having booked the Little ladies to create my wedding bouquet before they opened their tea shop, it took me a little longer than I would have liked to get round to visiting. What a delight! It is a tea shop/cake lovers/anyone who is getting married heaven!!! The loose teas are lovely, as are their freshly baked cakes. The chocolate rocky road/malteser cake got a huge thumbs up from the groom to be, and this week I popped in for a(large) lemon drizzle, and I left with an even larger slice! It is completely relaxed, which was just what the doctor ordered as a stressed out bride-to-be. Kind and calm words from Lisa and Pavla definitely helped me feel better. With regards to their wedding flower service, I can’t wait to see my flowers! Lisa(and Kim, who is on maternity) went out their way to help me figure out what it is I wanted –no boring roses posies here! I can’t recommend them enough, and even though it is a bit out of the way for a cuppa for me, I will definitely be making return visits after the wedding.

My mum and I were walking along Pollokshaws Road to find somewhere for a drink and a snack, and I remembered I’d heard a friend tell me she’d once been in Little Botanica and they’d happened to have some vegan cake. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any on this occasion(when I went in 2 weeks or so ago) but I did get a veg and pesto panini, and a dairy free soya mint chocolate ice blast drink which was delicious. It’s so good to be able to support independent businesses and have somewhere welcoming and relaxing I can pop in to for a drink, and I will definitely be back in again soon!

They’ve got beautiful loose leaf tea, including herbal varieties, fresh baking and nice lunches. It’s a perfect place to meet a friend or settle in with a laptop. Free wireless, of course.
