This went steadily downhill once it had been sold. It lasted a few months but now appears closed. The staff were useless and rude, sadly. What was once an ace wee sandwich shop became a place to avoid. Which is sad but my wallet and waistline will probably benefit!

Tucked away in the side streets of Ibrox, Briggs 2 Go is a handy pit stop for eats if you’re situated in surrounding offices or are looking for a pie on a match day! In fact, I’d imagine this place rakes in a bomb on Saturdays — with the amount of scrummy chicken bakes on offer, you wouldn’t be able to move in there! Luckily, I visited on a marginally steadier business day. There was an abundance of ready made rolls that were fresh and super cheap for the content. Their menu boasts that everything is «freshly made on the premises» which is evident from the industrious staff chopping veg in the open plan worktop behind the counter. There’s a huge variety of food available here, from savoury scotch pies to healthier options such as baguettes — all for under two pounds. Cakes are just as cheap but tasty, with caramel shortcake on the menu! What’s more, teas and coffees are all under a pound and Briggs 2 Go is possibly the only place left in the UK that sells Walkers crisps for less than 40 pence. This place reminds me of how cheap it was to buy cooked snacks before the recession slammed shut our wallets, but where Briggs 2 Go lacks in price it certainly doesn’t lack in quality!
