As far as Morrisons goes, I’m with Katie in that it’s a little bit on the grubby side compared to Morrisons in Partick. Saying that, it’s still quite nice, and have enjoyed shopping here when I’m in the area. Most recently, my guy and I stopped in for a juice and a snack on our way to Nike, which is just down the road. There’s not much in the way of fresh prepared things to grab on the go, so we wandered about looking for something to snack on. We ended up in the deli area and bought some onion bahjis and chicken pakora. Not exactly what either of us would typically snack on, but it is what it is. We browsed the booze section, as I’m on the hunt for a lemon and ginger cider that we had one night at Inn Deep, that I cannot find anywhere. I swear, it’s like a secret stash that is made on Mars. This Morrisons has a bigger selection of booze than the Partick location and lots on sale now with the holidays just over. Nothing truly special about this Morrisons, but it gets the job done if you’re in the need of a shop.

The best thing about this Morrison’s is the car park. Although completely confusing — you have to drive up over the top, then go left, then round in a circle, oh god, it goes on forever — there’s seemingly hundreds of spaces. Plus, quite a few of them are undercover — which means that you don’t have to get wet if it’s raining, yes! I don’t know what it is about this Morrison’s — but somehow it always seems like it’s a little grubby. Compared to the store at Partick which is bright and cheerful — somehow, this place feels like it’s a little bit of a poor relation. It does have a selection of CDs, but you won’t find any homeware or furnishings in this store.(Which makes it very difficult to procrastinate, and means that you will actually have to do your food shopping).
