Nan’s is a southside institution on Inglefield Street. It offers rolls and the odd cake. It’s not fancy, it’s not about paninis with artichoke and sundried tomatoes. It’s all about the simple fair that we all know and love. Roll and bacon? You got it. Ham salad roll? You got it! This place exceptional value and old school. I love it!

Nan“s is a good little no frills old style sandwich shop. Every where I look these days there are new places doing lunch. Offering every option under the sun from pulled pork to brisket to gourmet burgers wrapped up in tasty bagels. You won’t find any of these things here. Why you might ask am I talking about them in this review. Well the other point about all these places is they would charge you about 5 quid a roll. Not the case at Nan’s! Two huge rolls… £2.50… For both!!! 1.25 a roll! Ok on to the food. I had a roll and cheese and a roll and chicken mayo. Both with salad and on crispy rolls. They could not have stuffed more toppings in if they tried. When you get salad, YOUGETSALAD, tommies, beetroot, onion, cucumber, lettuce and onions. Everything was basic but bloody tasty. Don’t expect anything to fancy and if you are looking for spelt and rye bread or pumpkin and aubergine soup, this is not the place for you. However if you like a tasty roll at great prices you won’t go wrong here.

Love this place! Great little sandwich place that always seems to be rushed off its feet. Says it all really. There always a Que that goes out though the door, but worth the wait for a top sandwich! yummy. :-)

Nan’s is an amazing takeaway shop I recently discovered in the southside with delicious rolls, soups and hot food. The rolls are fresh and loaded with salad — I had a massive seeded sub with chicken tikka and salad for just £1.90! The lentil soup was delicious and just 70p and a bag of walkers was 50p. Seriously good prices!
