I had my outer conch pierced here on 13th February 2016 and I couldn’t have asked for better. Shop was immaculate, staff were friendly even though it was very busy! Huge selection of jewelry, knowledgeable staff, who even answered questions about Unrelated piercings, and gave advice. They even asked what jewelry I wanted it in eventually to make sure the placement would be perfect! The piercer(Claire) talked me though everything that was going to happen and didn’t rush me out afterwards. Would heartily recommend and will use again in future!

Got my ear pierced(Snug piercing) by Christine. She was very nice and friendly and made the experience pleasant(even if the piercing itself is quite painful). As I already have a couple of piercings, I didn’t really have any questions but I’m sure she would have answered all the questions I could have had. The shop has a wide range of jewellry in every possible colour and shape. I got a gold bananabell and Christine gave me a rosegold ball closure ring for free when I told that I planned to put a ring in my piercing once it was healed! I’m not familiar with the common prices in Glasgow but it was definitely cheaper than the places I know in Germany while I didn’t feel like the quality of the service was any lower. For reference I paid £31 for the snug piercing(it would have been £28 if I had chosen a silver bananabell but I felt like £3 for the jewellry you want is literally nothing).

After looking at a few piercers nearby, me and my friend’s impromptu trip to get piercings ended up in Nirvana. We were greeted by a lovely, friendly girl on reception, and quickly seen by John the piercer. The whole experience was fun and excellent. Had great banter with the staff throughout the process. Nirvana is slightly more expensive than neighbouring studios but the couple of £s is so so worth it. They are insanely hygienic, brilliant at their jobs and you don’t feel hostile like you get in a lot of studios. I got a nose piercing and my friend got a madonna and I would never go to anywhere else now. EXCELLENT! ****

I got my nose pierced… i think it was done by John? Anyway, he was clearly really experienced at piercing and was able to pick out a suitable stud size for me. He made me feel at ease and chatted away to me and my friend while washing his hands and getting the needle ready, making sure i was ok the whole time. The piercing was pretty much painless and much quicker than i thought it would be. My eyes watered and my make up ran and he was nice enough to hand me back the mirror — haha! He talked me through the aftercare tips and gave me a piece of paper with the info printed on it. It cost me… 20 something quid. Can’t quite remember… I didn’t mind paying that, as I knew that Nirvana was a great place to get a piercing, from other reviews online! I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of getting a piercing in Glasgow! And i’ll be going there for any future piercings.

This is one of the best known places in Glasgow for piercing. They specialise only in peircings and do not do tattoos. I’ve had a few peircings here and always had a good experience, you also do not need to make an appointment and they are open later than the regular shops. The staff are really friendly here and are happy to answer any questions(no mater how stupid) and when one of my peircings got infected due to my lack of aftercare they were really helpful and told me exactly what to do. They have a hige range of different tunnels, earings, belly bars and anything else you need and are priced the same as anywhere else.

You wouldn’t think it to look at my innocent face(snigger) but i happen to have a penchant for body piercing. Ever since i was about 14, i have been fascinated by this body modification process, even to the extent of learning the craft myself a year ago. Before i had the ‘knowledge’ though, i came to Nirvana to get my latest body adornment. As far as I’m aware, this is the only place in Glasgow that specialises in piercing, Nirvana does not do tattooing. They must get thoroughly fed up with people coming in to ask that! Every time i have visited, the staff have been friendly and cool, willing to give you any advice you need regarding jewellery or placements. The piercers themselves come across as pretty strict(my friend and i got a wee row for having a fit of the nervous giggles) but i suppose in an environment with needles and precision, that is to be expected. They really put you at ease though, and thoroughly inform you and brief you on aftercare with your chosen piercing. The studios and very clean, all health and safety and general piercing etiquette cleanliness is followed, new needles being shown to you before opening and shiny new jewellery presented as being sterilised. They are always very careful not to rush you out of the room in-case the shock of the piercing makes you faint, and it’s always nice to feel like they care! There are two piercing rooms, and every time i have been I’ve had to wait a while or come back later if i haven’t made an appointment, so I’d advise you to ring up beforehand. There is also an extensive range of jewellery for when it’s time to change the bar or hoop. Piercings range in price, but to be honest, it’s about the same as other reputable parlors. They have a 15 percent off deal on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and they also do SnapFax deals if you ask in the shop. If you want a piercer you can trust, i would recommend Nirvana.

I had previously been to Chaebol in Byres Road for all my piercings, but when they shut down I moved my business to Nirvana on several friends’ recommendations. I got my lip pierced here, and the piercer(John?) was very friendly and professional. He wasn’t the chattiest of piercers but he did know his stuff and puts people at ease. The piercing was very well done, I don’t know anyone who has had a bad experience or got infected or anything. It’s a safe sterile place that knows what they are doing. I had previously felt a bit put off when going into Nirvana as some of the staff had been a bit stand-offish the first time I was in to look at jewellery but the other times have been fine. There is a good range of jewellery available, both for piercings and to buy. There are lots of flesh tunnels and plugs, and they are a stockist of Ikon. To be honest you can buy most of the stuff cheaper online but it is exciting to go in and browse for ideas. You get a shorter bar put in piercings like lip and tongue for free if needed — included in the price. I believe they are currently in the Glasgow snapfax too! Will definitely go back if I want anything else done.
