I have been to prezzo a couple of times now as I have a tastecard so it’s pretty good value for money. Every time I have been the food has always been lovely and my boyfriend loves the chicken ravioli. If you check their website they have an allergy menu but the staff also have this so are helpful if you have any special dietary requirements. Prezzo can be very busy, especially at weekends when it’s sometimes queued out the door. When it’s like this it can be quite hard to get the staffs attention but when you do they are very helpful.

I’ve been to Prezzo a few times before and after a nice Saturday afternoon at a concert in the Royal Concert Hall we ended up here for dinner. I forgot how busy places can be on a Saturday night, and it was queued out the door when we arrived. It wasn’t too long to wait though till we were directed to a table at the back of the restaurant. Its pretty big inside and nicely lit, and even though we were seated at one of the smaller tables for two it didn’t seem too cramped. We ordered a few Diet Cokes while we looked at the menu which is the usual Italian/chain restaurant style affair — pizzas, pasta, baked pastas, salads etc. I went for the light vegetarian pizza which came with a small salad and dressing on the side, whilst Mr H had lasagne with a side of fries. Despite being pretty busy our food arrived pretty promptly, and the servers(of which there were many) were friendly. My pizza was pretty tasty — light on the cheese as you’d expect but with a nice base and dressing. Mr H enjoyed his lasagne but actually thought it was a bit too cheesey and the fries were fairly standard. We’d already spied a few desserts and opted to try something, but despite our plates being cleared away we weren’t offered menus, and sat trying to catch a whizzing servers eye to bring us back the dessert menus. When we did manage to get them we were tempted by a few options — chocolate cake, profiteroles and amaretto gelato, but opted to share some honeycomb cheesecake. It was suitably sweet but didn’t bowl my over, so I left Mr H to demolish the rest. Again, another round of trying to catch someones eye to get the bill, but at £33 for two it wasn’t too bad for a fairly standard meal out. I don’t think I’d rush back, but the meal we had was tasty enough.

Very nice italian food experience! Lovely place, nice service and the lounge music allow you to have a nice lunch or dinner time with friends! The food was tasty and fresh! I got the lunch time menu for £ 9,95 with bruschetta and pizza margarita and I finished in beauty with mini nutella and banana calzone with hot drink for £4,10 extra. Nice place to eat out! Cheers

Absolutely dreadful experience, this food not great and the service appalling. We had three young grand kids with us and the wait for food was infuriating. My wife and I had food brought out before the children and the wait for desserts for said kids was more than ½ an hourI am still editing on the drinks I ordered to keep them happy waiting. I would hsve rated it zero if i could. Worth noting, this is purely a problem with this branch, Belsize Park in London is great and my hometown Prezzo in Kings Lynn is good too.

It’s a solid three but really just not my kind of thing. Our trip to Prezzo on Friday night was effortless, well served, reasonably priced and pleasant enough, however just left me thinking… hmm, just not for me. From start to finish, the service in here was impeccable. From booking online, recieving a text to confirm, arriving at the restaurant to be met with smiles, orders being taken quickly, food dished up just as quick and the bill given within 5 mins of asking, I really could not fault any of the service side of the restaurant. Price wise, we took advantage of the 25% off deal that’s available online. Again, this was a piece of cake to do. We simply showed the code sent to the Mrs on her phone… simple! The only thing missing from the night for me was the food to match the décor, service and vibe. Don’t get me wrong, the grub was tasty but just felt a little on the bland side. I ordered the carbonara and instantly wished I had just gone with the pizza! Yeah, it’s easy, centrally located and has great service. But the flavour was just missing. Like I say, a solid three stars, nothing more!

Colin and I were in the mood for some Boxing Day sales yesterday, and sometimes shopping so much can really build up an appetite! So in our hour of hunger needs, Prezzo was where our tired feet took us. Located absolutely perfectly, being just off both George Square and Buchanan Street, I imagine this restaurant receives quite a fair bit of custom. When we went in yesterday it was relatively busy but not busy enough for us to not get a table. We were seated at a lovely table, that was unfortunately next to an arguing couple where the man kept shouting«I’m old enough to be with your mum!» Awkward. The one thing I do need to mention in this review is this wonderful thing we discovered at the table that I’ve never seen before; a smartphone app where you can order your food at the table without any waiting staff! What a glorious invention this is! The reason that I’ve not written a 5 star review is because I wasn’t overly fond of the food. Colin and I shared an antipasto starter which was alright, and then I had a salmon and broccoli penne in a red pesto sauce, which I unfortunately left most of. Colin had a chicken and saffron pasta which he thoroughly enjoyed(quote«the best pasta I’ve ever had!») I must say though, from seeing what the waiters were bringing out to other tables, the pizzas in here look absolutely glorious and I think I’d possibly go for one of those next time! Although I wasn’t particularly fond of the food, the décor and feel in here is exquisite, with a beautifully stocked wine shelf behind the bar, gorgeous high ceilings with massive chandeliers, and spaciously placed tables(always an important factor for my enjoyment!) The staff are also lovely in here, if not a bit eager to please, and it’s somewhere I would come back despite my lack of enjoyment food wise.

Prezzo has a spacious feel to it, the tables are not crammed together, and the décor is bold and modern. The food, in our case a shared large pizza, is delicious and fresh, and hard to better. Our lunch for two was a good deal.
