A great little«local» store at the bottom of Byres Rd, an odd floor layout means there’s more to this store than there first appears. Well stocked with a good selection of those essentials you might need to pick on the hoof with decent vegetable, fresh food, bakery and alcohol sections. I often pop by on my way to work to pick up breakfast and something for lunch, it’s great to be able to pick up a freshly baked pain au chocolate and I’ve developed a worrying addiction to the«Taste the Difference» salted caramel muffins. I could definitely also see myself making a trip to pick up a bottle of wine or beers on the way home or when off to a friends. The store has a large fridge section with plenty of chilled white wines and beers. The staff also seem very friendly and will usually say a cheery hello. So overall, not a place you’d ever do your weekly shop but great to pick up the few odd things on the run.

This is on Byres Road so I’m surprised I’m the first to review. it is a handy wee store which has all the usual Sainsbury’s essentials but it feels a little smaller than some of the ‘local’ stores, despite an odd angle at the back which reveals more store than you think would be there from the street view! This store has bakery items, fresh fruit and veg, the usual range of snacks and crisps and some storecupboard essentials. It is open for quite long hours, so really handy for later night shopping(til 11pm).
