Spellbound Games

This a tabletop games shop, so it sells board games, card games and war gaming type stuff, including miniatures and figures. Most of the space is given over to a gaming area with loads of tables and although we’ve never been in for any events, it looks like they host regular tournaments and get-​togethers. I’m much too much of a part-​time board game player to ever think about going up against serious gamers in a tournament, although I have to say this is probably the very place to give that a go.
The shop area is small but they have a nice range of games and I’m pretty sure they could get something specific in for you if you wanted. The staff have always been really lovely when we’ve been in — the last dude was really chatty and they’re always happy to talk through the games and make recommendations.
It’s tucked out the way off Victoria Road so you kind of have to know it’s there to find it. I really hope they get enough trade to keep them going because it’s nice to have a shop like this on the south side.
