As far as a curry take-away goes, Spice Boys is not bad… but that’s just about all it is. Located at the top of Swinton, next to the Swinton Tavern and yet another huge east-end bookies, it’s right in the middle of Swinton and Springhill, and not far from Garrowhill and parts of Baillieston. Not as central as the Main Street, but handy if you want to avoid the ridiculous amout of traffic that the Main Street tends to invite these days. Having been open since I was a tyke(I was in primary school, and remember popping in for a box of chips once or twice during lunch hour), it’s kind of been there since I can remember. They have the usual selection of curries, pakoras, etc, as well as pretty good pizzas and amazing chips. It’s not exactly central but if you live in the area it’s accessible and they’re usually pretty fast. They also have a few set meals that are really cheap. Overall, I’d pick Madras Cottage over Spice Boys; but it is a cheaper, and in some cases more local, option.
