Mmmm… stationery… Do you have a stationery fetish? Are you a Stage Manager, Film Production Assistant, Office Junior, or just someone who simply must possess a Sharpie in every conceivable colour? Well then, Staples is the place for you!
Honestly, whatever your office requirements, chances are that Staples will have the item you’re looking for and most likely several other things that you didn’t think you were looking for until you saw them on the shelf.
Office furniture, printer ink (and printers), ‘really useful’ plastic boxes in all sizes, binders, folders, sleeves, paper, envelopes… even loo rolls. They really have just about anything you can imagine in the stationery department.
I’ve even bought a couple of laptops here because they turned out to be cheaper than PC World next door, so it’s worth checking if that’s what you’re after.
There are often bargains to be had too; you frequently find remaindered or surplus stock at reduced prices. In the past I’ve bought a printer and an office desk that were reduced.
Sometimes it’s hard to find a member of staff if you need assistance, but most of the time I’m content just to wander around the shelves filling my basket with items that I hadn’t come in to buy but have decided that they look useful anyway. And that, of course, is what the Staples business model is all about.
