Not a bad place. Cuts the journey to town or other shopping centres like the Fort. It has the same shops as most of these retail parks, so if you are in or around this area it is very handy. Shops like B&Q, Halfrauds, Argos, Matalan, Boots, M&S, Sports Direct and that popular pasta place that I confuse with the ice cream… Ben & Jerry’s. I only really use it for Sports Direct new gym stuff or football gear. You have a few more stores here but I cannot remember their names don’t want to be giving you false info. There is a Burger King just at the entrance to this place if that is what you are into. If you are travelling through, there is a shell garage right next to this place for fuel top up. This place used to be pointless but new shops have popped up and it is getting a little better.

I bought a Hitachi TV3 months ago that has just failed. I simply thought, oh well that’s unlucky, I’ll just pop into the local branch that I bought it from and they will simply replace or refund it. After all, they are ARGOS. What a shock then to find out that their customer service policy is to send the faulty item away to be repaired and this could take up to 21 days. Repaired? After only 3 months!!! Oh no, I demanded a replacement or refund. The shop assistant said no. I emailed customer service and they said no. I wrote to the branch manager and he said no. I then wrote to Consumer Direct and they advised me that they are legally allowed to repair it. I can’t believe it quite honestly. I really wish I had bought the TV from a big supermarket as I know for a fact that they have a much fairer customer services policy and would have replaced it without issue. Argos are doing the absolute minimum in terms of their legal responsibility. Please think twice before buying from ARGOS as this has really taken me aback.

Its rather weird plonking an ugly great retail park like this next to a huge cemetery. The shops are ones that people just park outside get what they want and go now browsing’/meandering around like most shopping centers/areas.

The Strathkelvin Retail Park can be found on the outskirts of Bishopbriggs. It’s not really a place to go for a wander — as it doesn’t really have that kind of shops — but it’s a pretty useful place to know about. As well as the biggest Marks & Spencer Simply Food that I have ever seen, it also houses an Argos, a B&G, a couple of furniture and bed shops, some carpet shops, a Curry’s, a homebase and a halfords. Basically, it’s great place to go if you’re doing a bit of redecorating and DIY. There’s also a drive-through Burger King if you’re peckish. The great thing about this place is that there’s a huge car park which is completely free.

This retail park is in Bishopbriggs on the outskirts of Glasgow. It is small in comparison with other retail parks. It has a B&Q, Comet, Currys, Argos, Halfords and a few other carpet and curtain shops as well as a Burger King fast food restaurant. There is lots of parking. The B&Q is good as it is a large trade store. Most of the other stores are smaller than you would usually find in other retail parks. This retail park never seems to be busy and I always wonder how long it will last. There are several empty units and the Homebase store has also recently closed down.

Strathkelvin Retail Park is a small retail park but it has some good shops for home items. There is a large B & Q Warehouse, Carpet Shop, Argos, Comet, Currys, Benson Beds &Roseby’s, Homebase and Halfords. Not any other kinds of shops. There is also a Burger King. There is a lot of parking and as these shops are a little out of the way the are quieter than in the city.
