The girls here are fantastic! They take all the time to listen to you and suggest ideas. They have now got vegan treatments including nails, massage and eyes so you can get your hair looking great and a treatment at the same time. Can’t recommend them enough!

Since she started getting vegan clients Ashleigh who owns the Style Bar has been investigating which hair products are suitable for vegans, and now she has her own salon she’s introducing a make up person who will also have vegan beauty products. One of the staff has been trying to wangle a discount for clients across at the Sparkle Horse, which would be great if that comes about as I’ve enjoyed my time in there too the few times I’ve been in. She’s also looking at getting in someone to do Botox — which is not my thing for a few reasons, but it might be there some time soon if you want it. The one thing I wasn’t keen on was that the sinks seemed a bit low when I was getting my hair washed — I think I remember one time I was in a place where the sinks could be adjusted for height, but I only go to the hairdressers two or three times a year so I can cope with that.

Was on the hunt for a vegan friendly, cruelty free salon and this place came highly recommended by some fellow vegans. They don’t have a sign up yet, but it’s really easy to find. Just diagonally across the road from the Sparkle Horse. My appointment was on halloween. They had a horror movie playing in the background, bottles of fizz and had all gone to the effort of putting on face paint and getting into the spirit. Lovely girls, really chatty and listen to exactly what you want. I went for my usual Sombre/Balayage colour with a cut and blow dry. It only cost £65, which is very reasonable. They even told me where I could buy the vegan products they used on my hair(Sally’s). My hair is in great condition, even after having colour done. Can’t wait for my next appointment with these gals!
