I pass by The Gallery most days and have never felt remotely inclined to stop in — it just always seems really quiet(and was this time, too). But this week, as final stop for date night, I ended up in here with the Mr. Inside, is actually quite a nice bar — monochrome by design, and pretty well laid out. Apart from the weird step I tripped over on the way to the toilet — which I also quite liked the design of(and was spotless!). The beer was cheap but uninspired — £3 for a pint of Tennents. But the music was great but a bit on the older side — every other song one of us was saying we hadn’t heard that in years. All in, enjoyed our evening here — but that was down to company, the place has no soul. It’s low on the last of places to return to, but I will at some point.

Rating des Ortes: 4 Glasgow, United Kingdom
Maybe I’m gonna be a bit biased with this review as my mate is the manager of this bar. The Gallery is Glasgow’s newest gay bar. Situated in Brunswick St opposite The Brunswick Hotel. The bar itself is sleek, glass fronted with a modern and elegant black and white interior. Paintings of famous faces adorn the walls of this smart bar. The booze is cheap(Hendricks gin £2.70 last time I was there) and the staff are down to earth and friendly. Not a huge bar but bigger ain’t necessarily always better. They have live acts performing over the weekend which draws in a mixed and varied crowd. Cracking bar would recommend you pay it a wee visit.
