I don’t think I’ve been to a private hospital in Scotland before, so I guess I kind of expected it to be a bit fancier than this. I was in for an appointment and my first issue with this place was the car parking — there’s a car park on site but there’s only about 10 spots, so there was no chance of parking there. I tried to get a spot in a nearby street and ended up getting lost. Once I’d driven around for a while, I found my way back and then got a spot right out the front on the street. Inside, you’ll be directed down to the outpatients desk to check-in for your appointment. Strangely, my appointment showed as being cancelled even though I hadn’t called — I think they’d mixed me up with someone else. The place is kind of run down and dated, not quite what I was expecting. That being said, it seems to operate like clockwork and my appointment was exactly on time. Note: They have a sports injury clinic, assisted conception + fertility as well as cosmetic surgery here. You need an appointment to attend, probably with a referral from your GP.
