The Godfather Tattooist

The wife got me a Groupon for a new barbers (opened November 2012) called the Godfather barbers & with excitement I went off for my hot towel shave & haircut yesterday. I made a booking for 3pm & when I was greeted at the receptionist desk with: «would you like a beer while you wait?» I wasn’t too disappointed that it was half an hour later before the hot towel was wrapped around my mug!
A nice open razor shave is one of ‘Mans’ true pleasures & when a facial massage is thrown in, I am in heaven :-)
In all honesty; I have had better hot towel shaves, but the haircut that took the best part of an hour after it was bliss. Even though the expected Godfather movie on the projector wasn’t playing because of sunlight (I know the sun shinning in Glasgow at the start of March!!!) I still loved a wee bit of «Man pampering» the exact opposite of ‘Man flu!’ on a Tuesday afternoon.
However the best part of the day was the price: £10, yes a tenner! Fantastic value for money & probably a fraction of what my wife pays for her pampering!
So all in all; I will return for more at the capable hands of Wendy & Nicola.
I forgot to mention; there is also a Tattoo parlour upstairs, so you can take the other half for a wee butterfly or something, so she/​he doesnt miss out ;-)
