Ok. I came in. Ordered a fish and chips to take away. Watched the woman stack the chips and fish into a little paper bowl then wrap it in parchment paper. I paid whatever cheap amount it was and walked out. Opened the packet while walking home, ate a chip. Kinda was ok. Reached for a second chip and I saw something move in the packet. A fly. Not a house fly but some other kinda flying thing. I then threw the whole thing away. Total Eek! Methinks not!

I went for a wee walk during my lunch break today and, before I knew it, the smell wafting from this place had lured me inside. Since it was a freezing cold Monday, I felt like I deserved it and that chippy smell is so hard to resist. I had a peek in my purse, which contained exactly £1.50 and happened to be the precise price of a roll ‘n’ chips, so I happily handed it over. The Kent is your typical Glasgow chippy, offering up all the old classics and greasy grub you’d expect. Their chips are really good and are nice and chunky, while being able to withstand lashings of salt, vinegar and sauce without turning into a mushy mess. No matter how hard I try to fight it, I will be back, however I think I’ll change my lunch time route for a while, as those cheeky chips are just too tempting.
