Great pub, great staff and the quintessential Rangers supporters Bar. The atmosphere is top class, you can enjoy a nice cold beer in the beer gardenand a free roll, or sit and watch the football on the 11big screen tv’s. You always get a warm welcome from the staff and a few jokes from the owner.

Unless you’re of the blue persuasion, or on a subcrawl, just avoid like the plague that you might well catch from the toilets. Having visited the toilets before the sandwiches were offered, I declined — it just wasn’t worth the risk. It’s all RANGERS and RANGERS and more RANGERS and… you get the picture. I could be very pedantic ad point several things out, but for fear of ever having to go back, I’ll keep my mouth firmly shut. I’d imagine they do a roaring trade on matchdays, or «walking» days — and fair play to them, it’s a captive audience they’re shooting for, and they certainly know how to appeal to it. Not for me. Your mileage may vary.

Don’t do it! No seriously don’t do it. Unless your a Rangers fan your gonna be less than impressed. Anyways to the review, a pub covered with football memorabilia. I visited here on a recent Subcrawl adventure and it’s the only time I would end up here. Not sure what else to say. It had a bouncer on the door in the afternoon, the woman behind the bar randomly gave out some scary looking ham sandwiches. I remember it being a pricey round considering the location and surroundings. I hope to never return to be honest. (Tony C seemed to love it though. Check out how happy he is in the picture)

Again — love Rangers, love this pub. There is A LOT of Rangers stuff here. It’s very blue. They like the slogan«we are the people.» You can get all the usual drinks — Strongbow, Guiness, Tennents, Carling, Belhaven. It’s very close to the subway station.

One of the pub stops on the Unilocal Subcrawl. We visited a few Rangers pubs(nature of the closest pubs to subways, wasn’t a chosen theme) but this was a Rangers cocoon. Football nor other ideologies which may surround it are not my personal cup of tea, but if you are a Rangers fan you must make this pub top of your list to visit. So much blue, so much team-specific art & décor. One of the staff came out with some ham sandwiches for folks, too. Not that great for me as I don’t eat ham, but a nice little extra for customers.

The Stadium Bar is in existence to cater for the tens of thousands of people who go to watch Rangers play at Ibrox Stadium right next door. Although the Stadium Bar is not owned by Rangers FC, you would still expect such a huge club with a Uefa 5-star standard stadium to have a pub next door that is at least of a half-decent standard. Sadly, the Stadium Bar is a dump of a place, with the only real plus point being that there is a good atmosphere when the place gets busy just prior to kick-off. Though the bouncers(yes, a dump like this even has bouncers) will not hesitate to chuck out anyone enjoying a good sing-song. The pub’s appearance, both internally and externally, is dire, the drink prices are expensive and the bar service slow. The pub is bad enough during matchdays, I’d hate to think what it’s like at other times, given the dodgy characters that you see floating around Copland Road during the day.

The Stadium Bar is practically next door to Ibrox and is packed on matchdays, where it’s bouncing and in all honesty, pretty mental atmosphere far exceeds the stadium itself which is nowadays a bit like a morgue. The drinks are all well priced and there’s a pool table as well. It’s a bit grubby and not exactly a place you’d go to impress a first date, but it does the job.

The Stadium bar is legendry amongst some Rangers fans and for this reason it is not for the faint hearted, especially on a match day. If you are going to a Rangers game and want to get a real flavour of the passion pop in before a game and you will often hear drunken fans belting out Rangers songs. It’s kind of like a watered down version of the fans local pub in the film green street. If you aren’t a rangers fan and you want to go in to see what it is like probably a good idea to cover any other football colours.

The Stadium Bar looks absolutely rotten from the outside, like an abandoned pub that may have been popular a very long time ago. Sitting in the shadow of Ibrox, hence its name, The Stadium is a long, skinny bar with the bar along one side, and the chairs along the other. The pool table was only 50p and there was ample room for showing off and flamboyant shots. Drink prices pretty average and it was pretty quiet — probably most people in the area were actually in Ibrox. The décor was predictably Rangers-themed — blue everything, so I’d advise you not to go in your leprechaun costume. As you go in there is a only tiny tv in the corner on left, which was probably part of the reason for the lack of customers.
