Back again for my annual dentist check up, but been seeing the hygienist, Hilary, regularly for the last year. The service here is efficient and friendly, always greeted by a smiley and cheerful receptionist who appears to remember everyone and runs the front of clinic expertly. Hilary is the Hygienist I see and I can’t rate her any higher for her professionalism and care. Michael is my Dentist and has taken expert care of me over many years. I had an utter fear of dentists following some appalling treatment when I was younger. I no longer get nervous about coming to the dentist, thanks to these guys. And the great news is that I don’t need anything done so today was a painless visit. ****** I’m adding a sixth star for this business!

I gingerly visited The Park Practice after a couple of years of dental neglect, fearing the worst. But I can honestly say I’d never felt so relaxed and comfortable in a dental surgery in my life until then! Whilst I did need a fair bit of work, it was scheduled over several months, making it more bearable and easier on the pocket. Whilst they readily accept NHS patients, you can mix and match some private treatments if you prefer — I chose a private enamel crown; whilst quite a bit more expensive, well worth it in my opinion. Over the years the practice has expanded with additional dentists, hygienist, and at one point I think they had an alternative therapist there, but the focus is now firmly back to dentistry. Friendly front desk staff and a great practice manager, I always feel welcome. One time when my appointment was running late, they popped outside to buy a new pay & display parking ticket for me — that’s service! They also text you reminders the day before an appointment which is a nice touch. I’ve learned my lesson, and now attend regular check-ups and my treatments are far fewer these days thankfully.

Ok, so no one likes the dentist, but as dentists go this is a damn good one. I used to have a major phobia of sitting in that chair– mostly because my childhood years were plagued with having teeth removed and my teenage years were made very uncomfortable with train-track braces. However when I moved to Glasgow and first visited Park Practice, I began to forget my nasty, previous, dentist experiences. From the moment you walk in the door, the receptionist staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, and Dr Blackie is so nice you wont even dread being called into that room. They offer the usual services with cosmetic dentistry and holistic therapies too.
