This bar has come far from the place that this used to be, where in the past it smelt bad of weed. I don’t think no matter what you do with this place it will always be an old mans pub. I was meeting up with a few friends here and I would say the ratio of women to guys here was 1 – 25. Most of the food served here is bought in defrost & serve, two people in our group ordered food one being a sharing platter that was burnt to an inch of its life and the other was a hot dog that was pretty salty but still looked quite good. Service was 4⁄5 Food. 2⁄5

Finally. A place that knows how to make good fish and chips, and peas that are actually green. One of the girls seen me with my travel case, and pint struggling. She came. Over and helped me with my case to my table with, her name was«LISA» I thought it was great you can get food until 10pm. Batter was thin, but nice and crisp. Chips are bought in, but still nice considering they are charging I think £5.95. Peas were actually green Unlike every other place. I’m surprised that this place has not had a review since it changed its name from the Goose to the Royal Scot. The fact they serve Belhaven best is a huge thumbs up by itself. You need to come here. Great place on Union Street. Come. Here and do your own reviews. I’m sorry, but I can’t fault this place. If you’re a tourist, this is a classic looking British bar. And thanks again to Lisa. Your boss’s need to give you a pay rise:) thanks. Hugh MacIntyre:)
