I’m not an artist, I generally find museums a bit boring with only the truly exceptional capturing my interest but with this just a five minute walk from my flat I thought I’d take a stroll one Sunday morning. The exhibits are well spaced out and given plenty of room to breath in their own right. Five years ago I would have dismissed this as a lot of nonsense but now I appreciate each piece for what it was trying to achieve. I spent an hour and a half there in total and will be going back to give it a second viewing before the winners are announced. Glasgow has become really good over the last few years at attracting these kind of events to the city so make hay whilst the sun shines. I’d almost call it a must see,

I am glad that Glasgow has the opportunity to host and see this exhibition and engage with high profile contemporary art. I am glad that I got to see it, for free, and that there are a lot of events and activities planned around the exhibition.

Fantastic accessible venue and a great opportunity to see cutting edge modern art in Glasgow. From a modern art perspective on capitalism and ownership to a social enterprise shop representing community development and an a Capella opera performance in between! I love modern art– but for those that think it’s a load of pretentious nonsense there will be plenty to confirm your viewpoint here should you choose to see it that way! I am so delighted this exhibition is in Glasgow — there are lots of workshops and tours for visitors if you check the website too. The venue is fully accessible with toilets and it’s free to attend(and use the facilities!) great day out for a rainy day, I dare say! Be aware– buggies and push chairs aren’t allowed in the spaces where the artworks are so if you have little ones you might need to take shots each or carry the wee one. I’ll be visiting lots of times before the exhibition finishes in January :)
