I like this retail park as I pass it on my way home from work, so if I need to grab something on the way home then you’re likely to get it here. There is a good range of shops including Boots, sainsburys, marks and Spencers food hall, Costa, argos, home bargains, Macdonalds, a shoe store and a outdoor activities store. There is plenty of parking spaces. There are also cash machines situated beside sainsburys entrance.

One of my favorite bits of the West End of Glasgow, it meets almost all my shopping needs, with Home Bargains, Sainsbury’s, Boots, Brantano & M&S quick store. And there is a coffee shops and a quick food outlet if you are in need of some sustenance. There is plenty of parking spaces, recycling bins so you can kill two birds with one stone so to speak clear the house ready for the next round of shopping.

A slightly strange addition to this part of town, the retail park has a very suburban feel to it. They’re usually located out in the middle of no where, near some big shopping centre that has recently drained all business out of a local town centre! The West End Retail Park is a bit hit or miss. The Boots, M&S Food and Oddbins are all brilliant. For a start they are massive and you will find stuff in each of these places rather unique to the stores themselves and not just the chain(see walk in fridges for Oddbins!). The McDonald’s though is a strange one, as is the Sainsbury’s as there are much better supermarkets only a few miles away. Nevertheless if I lived up that way I would no doubt be in all the time! Perhaps a good addition? But never rivalling the charm and feel of Dumbarton Road

West End Retail Park is a bit of a hit and miss. The Sainsbury’s isn’t as big as the one in Drumchapel but the Boots and Cotswold are both huge. Marks and Spencer Simply Food seem to have been forgotten about since the grand opening of the Byres Road one. I was devastated to find out Au Natural is closing. I loved that shop. It was so cheap and handy for bits and bobs around the house. Parking can be a nightmare here at the weekend.

As the girls said, there are the most peculiar mix of shops to be found in this retail park. Alongside Boots there is Marks and Sparks, Cotswold, competitors Sainsbury’s, Argos and Au Naturale. The shops all seem to survive alongside each other in perfect harmony as most of them have been here for years(although the way Au Naturale is sadly going down the swanny I don’t want to jinx its liquidation). As Katie said there is a large car park which is free so you don’t need to worry about finding a space. The Boots here is huge with practically everything you need contained inside(apart from the Opticians and pharmacy, dang!) It is most definitely catering for your retail needs rather than anything else, but it’s still very useful. The Argos is big, well staffed with friendly guys and girls — pretty much what you’ds expect, really! Au Naturale has been here for years and used to be great — see my review or search for Lisa’s if you want to investigate on that front but its future does not look bright unless they have some drastic marketing and buyer overhaul. I think they all need to sit down over a brew and discuss where the hell their busines is going wrong, but that’s another story. The Sainsbury’s and outdoor store are resourceful and M&S Simply Food is its tasty, sultry self so there’s no grounds for gripes! You’ve got more than half your life’s requirements contained here. And when you’ve exhausted yourself shopping, treat yourself to a McDonald’s on your way home — it front the car park so you can’t escape those golden arches!

This retail park has a reasonably sized Sainsbury’s and Marks and Spencer and an absolutely massive Cotswold, Boots and Au Natural. Bizarre. Not that I’m complaining. The last three are excellent and definitely worth a visit to the retail park alone.

I don’t know about you, but I never expect this place to be here. One minute you’re wandering along Dumbarton Road looking at Charity shops and discount furniture stores, and the next you find yourself standing outside a large retail park. This place is pretty much your average retail park. It’s not particularly exciting, but it does have some useful shops as well as a really big free car park. There’s an M&S Simply Food and a Sainsburys, as well as a large Boots store, an Argos Extra and a couple of outdoors clothes stores. There’s also an Au Naturale and an Oddbins store. Hungry? There’s also a McDonald’s with a drive thru.
