I have a saving account with the Yorkshire Building Society — so I find myself in here reasonably regularly. It’s located right by Central Station, which makes it a lot easier to find if you’re unsure of the location.(I must admit it took me a while the first time I needed to make a visit). This place is very reasonably sized, but not generally very busy. This is great as you won’t have to queue for hours before you get to talk to the bank tellers. Plus, if you do have to wait for a couple of minutes, there are plenty of seats available for you to make yourself comfortable in. The staff are friendly and helpful and will get you sorted easily. I once witnessed them explaining very patiently to a Spanish man that they couldn’t help him with his account because they were not the Yorkshire Bank but the Yorkshire Building society and totally separate companies. This continued despite him refusing to understand for about ten minutes. Bless. Just don’t make the same mistake yourself…

I have found the service in here to be first class. The account has run like clock work and the interest rate is ok. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and it is in a really good position near central station and a lot of other banks and building societies, should you need to do any manual cash transfers! They always seem to have a raffle or prize draw or competition of some sort on for charities, which just shows how charming they must be! I would definitely recommend this financial institution to anyone. Plus they also do free tea and coffee and hot choc!(For customers of course!)
